Meet Donna

I’m a Life Coach, Spiritual Director, and Group Facilitator based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and I’ve spent over a decade walking alongside adults, ministry leaders, clergy, and small groups through the seasons of life that ask the most of us.

My path here wasn’t a straight line. I spent 26 years as a programmer and then a supervisor of programmers — in Louisiana, Texas, Missouri, and New Mexico — after starting out as an engineering associate with a math degree from Centenary College of Louisiana. Along the way I earned an MBA and led project teams, including two with budgets up to a million dollars. That corporate life taught me something I still use in every group I facilitate: a team already knows what it wants to create. My job is to draw out the clarity until everyone is enrolled in getting it done.

Faith has been part of my life since childhood, and over 30 years ago I felt called by God into a different kind of work — walking with people through their questions of belief, grief, and calling. I trained in Basic Theological Studies at St. Paul’s School of Theology and as a spiritual director through Garrett-Evangelical Theological Seminary, and in 2014 I was certified in spiritual formation by the United Methodist Church. In 2015 I began coach training through the New Mexico Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church and Coaching4Clergy, and in 2017 I was credentialed as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) with the International Coach Federation (ICF).

I know this work from the inside, not just from training. I’ve cared for a parent 850 miles away, moved my sister into my own city as dementia took hold of her, and faced cancer twice — all while asking myself the same questions I now help clients sit with: What am I afraid of? What do I actually want? Where is God in this? A lifelong commitment to the strength of women — shaped by the powerful women who raised and befriended me — comes into every room with me, too.

Confidentiality is something I hold seriously. What you say in a session with me stays there. Whether we’re talking about a career decision, a grief you haven’t named yet, or a faith that’s been shaken, my job is to listen, to draw out the clarity that’s already inside you, and to help you leave each conversation steadier than when you arrived.

Whatever season you’re in, I’d be honored to walk through it with you. Book your free first session and let’s see if we’re a good fit.
